Fair Trade Month Good vibes pass it on

I was lucky enough to be picked for a Green Mountain Coffee assignment from bzzagent. That means I received the coffee free.  I have been a drinker of Green Mountain for several months, but I had only vaguely heard of Fair Trade.  So I started researching what it was. There is actually a website you can go to to find out more information.

Fair Trade USA

Fair Trade is when goods are obtained fairly. The workers as well as farmers are fairly compensated. It helps farmers in developing companies build businesses as well as allows them to help there communities.

When you buy Fair Trade Items you are helping build schools, ensure that this Countries have basic things we take for granted and more.  A lot of the countries are poverty stricken and this opens up so many opportunities for them.


Green Mountain Coffee is one of many companies listed under Fair Trade. Fair Trade includes other products as well.  Green Mountain is one of my favorite coffees they offer a wide assortment of flavors. They have tea, hot cocoa and of course coffee. One of the flavors that I had not tried before was Wild Mountain Blueberry. I love the full taste of the coffee with just enough Blueberry to over power but mix nicely and create a coffee melody in your mouth. You really should try it.  Green Mountain is the world leader when it comes to purchasing Fair Trade Certified. This candy suprised me it tastes real good. I recieved a bag from Swaggable they allow you to try stuff free. swaggable.com 

They come in 4 flavors mango tango, pomegranate pucker, tooberry blueberry and wet - face watermelon. 100% Vegan, nut free, GMO free, Soy free, Wheat and Dairy free. 70 cals for 3 pops so i grabbed one of each flavor to try them out and after asking permission passed the rest out to the neighbors kids. I was suprised they are very flavorfull and I kinda wished I hadnt given he rest out. But I wanted you guys to have more than just my opion.  The kids loved them I had a few asking me for another. Even if you are not a Vegan you would enjoy these they actually taste like the flavor they are, its a full bodied flavor not a hint . Cooking with Pompein

I received a free  24oz bottle of Pompeian olive oil Mediterranean blend , from Smiley 360 which allows you to try products free just for telling everyone about them. Today I decided to use the oil in place of  butter.  I made sweet peas broccoli rice and pork loin and for dessert cheese cake. Now the first cheese cake  had a funky taste so I threw it out and tried again this time using a mix of both butter and olive oil.  The result was a wonderful meal. The Pompeian oil added a hint of extra flavor to everything. So i recommend trying it  even looking into using it as a alternative to butter. I will be using more olive oil in my cooking.  Pompeian definitely has a new customer with me.
